Oh Jen, please get knee pads. I spent my working life as a paramedic, kneeling in/on all sorts. Now I have arthritis in my knees and when I saw you down in front of that first little culvert my knees got sore for you. Take care of them, but gel lined knee pads. They work really well xx❤❤

Standing in front of any culvert with fast flowing water or one that's about to let go is very risky and a very dangerous thing to do. If you get stuck inside that culvert, well you can imagine. What is your emergency plan for getting stuck at the entrance?

I would try standing up stream & use the potato rake to pull the rocks towards me. Or just kinda rattle the smaller ones around & that starts some sediments moving more current will start flushing more sediments larger sediments well it has worked for me A long time ago BUT still ❤ what you are doing

Just sitting down with hot tea to enjoy your video, always enjoyable. Nova Scotia has just suffered two extreme heat days. A thought, buy some soft gel freezer packs and put in a fanny pack to chill your back while working in the heat. Hard freezer packs stay cold longer but I find hard against me when working in the heat.

I'm thinking of you two whenever there's heavy rain in eastern Oklahoma/ western Arkansas. But then if it rains, you have more culvers to clean out. Keep up thegood work.

Hello Jen and Kim! Just imagine that if DOT sent an excavator to clear some rocks from those low culvert inlets, we wouldn’t be here enjoying your labour! I came in for lunch after working all morning in the garden and d still have lots of seedlings to plant somewhere. This was so relaxing or me super tired, I had to rewind near the end because I had nodded off! 😅 Lucy showing off her backside to the camera is hilarious. Take care you two…👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Jen, Harbor Freight sells knee pads with a hard shell over the knee. I have used them for kneeling on rocks, laying pavers… easy on, easy off.. perfect for what you are doing!
